DMW Secretary Promises Better Service to OFWs
In the event, the DMW Secretary promises to provide better service to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
“The DMW will be the home to every OFW. We will build a community around that home. A community that will help every occupant, every OFW fulfill his/her utmost potential through partnerships, social dialogues, programs, and services geared towards the empowerment of each family member, of every home, of every child left behind, and every OFW household.” Ople said.
The DMW is tasked to protect the rights and promote the welfare of Filipino migrant workers. Ople gave assurance that the agency will be open to any complaints by every OFW.
Instead of going back and forth in different OFW departments for different transactions, the DMW aims to unify all these services in one agency.

The DMW will be the first one to assist OFWs through a one-stop-shop program that will make it easier for them to access the services they need.
The DMW will strengthen its partnership with other agencies, NGOs, and the private sector to be able to provide more programs and services for OFWs.
